Overview

HEADWAY MAXX is the only dual systemic fungicide on the market to control and prevent the four most problematic and costly diseases in turf.

HEADWAY MAXX is registered for the control and prevention of importantly pythium, dollar spot, winter fusarium, brown patch, anthracnose, helminthosporium complex and others.

Syngenta have taken the 28 day residual strength of Heritage MAXX and combined the fast knockdown technology of Banner MAXX. What's more, the cost of Headway MAXX is far less than the combination of these two trusted fungicides.

By combining azoxystrobin and propiconazole, Headway MAXX provides dual systemic control and protection, above and below the ground. Furthermore, a proportion of the azoxystrobin remains on the outside of the leaf to provide contact protection as well.

  • Greay Leaf Spot (Pyrucularia grisea)
  • Anthracnose (Colletotrichum graminicola)

  • Brown Patch (Rhizoctonia solani)
  • Pythium spp

For optimum turf quality and disease control, use HEADWAY MAXX in conjunction with turf management practices that promote good plant health.

Correct identification of the disease(s) is essential in selecting the most appropriate control measures.

Dollar Spot

Begin applications before symptoms occur when conditions first favour disease and continue applications while conditions remain favourable for disease development using registered Dollar Spot fungicides.

Apply no more than 2 consecutive HEADWAY MAXX applications at 21 day intervals for Dollar Spot.  In high pressure curative situation use BANNER MAXX at 5-10L/ha first and then follow up with HEADWAY MAXX.

Anthracnose, Brown Patch, Helminthosporium Complex, Winter Fusarium, Red Thread and Grey Leaf Spot

Apply HEADWAY MAXX in a preventative fungicide program containing fungicides from different chemical groups.

Begin applications before symptoms occur when conditions first favour disease and continue applications while conditions remain favourable for disease development. Apply no more than 2 consecutive HEADWAY MAXX applications 28 day intervals. Read more about Anthracnose, Brown Patch, Winter Fusarium, Red Thread and Grey Leaf Spot in the disease discription section.

Pythium Blight

Apply HEADWAY MAXX in a preventative fungicide program containing fungicides from different chemical groups. Ensure thorough coverage of all foliage. Begin applications before symptoms occur when conditions first favour disease and continue applications while conditions remain favourable for disease development. Apply no more than 2 consecutive HERITAGE MAXX applications at 14-21 day intervals for Pythium.

Pythium Root Rot

Apply HEADWAY MAXX in a preventative fungicide program containing fungicides from different chemical groups. Water application in within 24 hours. Begin applications before symptoms occur when conditions first favour disease and continue applications while conditions remain favourable for disease development. Apply no more than 2 consecutive HEADWAY MAXX applications at 14-21 day intervals for Pythium. When first symptoms are already visible HEADWAY MAXX  should not be used as first choice. Consider early curative fungicide (e.g. SUBDUE MAXX and Chipco Signature) and follow up with HEADWAY MAXX or HERITAGE MAXX to attain residual protection. Read more about Pythium Root Rot in the disease discription section.
