Overview

HERITAGE MAXX is an effective xylem systemic fungicide, that delivers excellent protection for up to 28 days against the widest spectrum of turf diseases currently in the Australian market.  Disease controlled includes Anthracnose, Brown Patch, Winter Fusarium, Greay Leaf Spot, Helmintosporium complex, Pythium and Red Thread.

Azoxystrobin is slower to be absorbed by the leaves and crowns of the plant, mostly within 24-48 hours of treatment.  Absorbtion through roots, after application to the root zone, normally happens over time and is facilitated by soil moisture.  It is transported acropetally (upwards) in the xylem.  This systemic translocation and translaminer movement combined, contributes to even distribution and longevity of the active ingredient within the plant tissue.

Azoxystrobin is a member of the QoI fungicides group (Quinone outside inhibitors or strobilurins), and acts on the fungal pathogen outside and inside the plant at the early stages of infection and stop disease development by interfering with ATP biosynthesis in fungal mitochondria.

Azoxystrobin has excellent protective activity, best results will be achieved when HERITAGE MAXX is applied prior to infection as a preventative.  Preventative dictates that application begins when conditions are favourable for disease infection and at the very beginning of disease infection.  When first symptoms are already visible HERIAGE MAXX  should be tank-mixed with a suitable early curative fungicide.

Chemical/Formulation

APVMA Code : 58324

HERITAGE MAXX is microemulsion concentrate formulation containing 95g/L azoxystrobin (strobilurin).

Syngenta specifically designed the MAXX formulations for use in sentisitive turf plants. As a result most of the management concerns for superintendents and turf managers have beed addressed.

Benefits:

  • no odour
  • no petroleum solvent - increased turf safety
  • easily forms a solution and stays suspended
  • won't crystalise and clog nozzles
  • easily tank mixed
  • less equipment wear

How to Use?

ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW LABEL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BUYING OR USING THIS PRODUCT!

Diseases Controlled

  • Helminthosporium Disease (Bipolaris spp, Drechslera spp., Exserohilium spp.)
  • Greay Leaf Spot (Pyrucularia grisea)
  • Anthracnose (Colletotrichum graminicola)
  • Red Thread (Laerisaria fuciformis)
  • Winter Fusarium or Microdocium Patch (Fusarium nivale)
  • Brown Patch (Rhizoctonia solani)
  • Pythium spp

For optimum turf quality and disease control, use HERITAGE MAXX in conjunction with turf management practices that promote good plant health.

Correct identification of the disease(s) is essential in selecting the most appropriate control measures.

Helminthosporium Complex

Apply HERITAGE MAXX in a preventative fungicide program containing fungicides from different chemical groups.

Begin applications before symptoms occur when conditions first favour disease and continue applications while conditions remain favourable for disease development. Apply no more than 2 consecutive HERITAGE MAXX applications 21 day intervals. When first symptoms are already visible HERIAGE MAXX  should be tank-mixed with a suitable early curative fungicide (e.g. irpodione). Read more about the Helminthosporium Complex in the disease discription section.

Anthracnose, Brown Patch, Winter Fusarium, Red Thread and Grey Leaf Spot

Apply HERITAGE MAXX in a preventative fungicide program containing fungicides from different chemical groups.

Begin applications before symptoms occur when conditions first favour disease and continue applications while conditions remain favourable for disease development. Apply no more than 2 consecutive HERITAGE MAXX applications 28 day intervals. When first symptoms are already visible HERIAGE MAXX  should be tank-mixed with a suitable early curative fungicide (e.g. registered triazoles, iprodione and DACONIL WEATHER STIK). Read more about Anthracnose, Brown Patch, Winter Fusarium, Red Thread and Grey Leaf Spot in the disease discription section.

Pythium Blight

Apply HERITAGE MAXX in a preventative fungicide program containing fungicides from different chemical groups. Ensure thorough coverage of all foliage. SUNDUE MAXX and Chipco Signature). Read more about Pythium Blight, Damping Off and Seedling Diseases in the disease discription section.

Pythium Root Rot

Apply HERITAGE MAXX in a preventative fungicide program containing fungicides from different chemical groups. Water application in within 24 hours. Begin applications before symptoms occur when conditions first favour disease and continue applications while conditions remain favourable for disease development. Apply no more than 2 consecutive HERITAGE MAXX applications 21 day intervals. When first symptoms are already visible HERIAGE MAXX  should not be used as first choice. Consider early curative fungicide (e.g. SUNDUE MAXX and Chipco Signature) and follow up with HERITAGE MAXX to attain residual protection. Read more about Pythium Root Rot in the disease discription section.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT

In order to minimise the likelihood of the development of resistance, it is recommended that HERITAGE MAXX should be used in a programme with products of different chemical groups.

As a precaution, DO NOT apply HERITAGE MAXX for more than a total of 1/3 of the fungicide applications in one season. If consecutive applications of HERITAGE MAXX are used they must be followed by at least the same number of applications of fungicide(s) from a different group(s) before HERITAGE MAXX is used again in the current or following season.

Apply HERITAGE MAXX at full recommended rates.  Utilise management practices, which encourage healthy turf and reduce turf stress.

Tankmixes

Mixing

Add the required amount of product directly to the spray tank and mix well.

Compatibility

HERITAGE MAXX is compatible with DACONIL WEATHERSTIK, BANNER MAXX, PRIMO MAXX and iprodione.

Tank Mixing Benefits

Tank mixing HERITAGE MAXX with DACONIL WEATHERSTIK will improve the efficacy by acting on two fronts.  DACONIL WEATHERSTIK acts as a contact shield on the outside of leaves, preventing new infections.  HERITAGE MAXX will protect systemically on the inside of leaves.  This combination effect is synergistic and will enhance control.  The longevity of fungicides are generally extended when used in conjunction with a growth regulation programme of PRIMO MAXX.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well ventilated area.  DO NOT store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal.  Add rinsings to spray tank.  DO NOT dispose of undiluted chemicals on site.  If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill.  If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots.  Empty containers and product should not be burnt.

Syngenta supports recycling through drumMuster.
