Strobilurin (QoI) Fungicides Strobilurin fungicides trace there origions to a fungal antibiotic produced by the pine cone fungus Strobilurus tenacellus. It's believed that this wood rotting fungus, and similar fungi, produced strobilurin to help protect it from microbes present in the woods.
